The Master reed work is what I recommend to most people. The player will enjoy great response in regular blow/draw notes, stable and very easy bends, overblows/overdraws. The overall sound is much louder and carries more details than a stock harmonica.
Below you will find some of the technical specifications for the Master reed work.
Reed plate (diatonic)
The draw reed plate is flat sanded to ensure better airtightness.
Reeds
The ultimate reed curvature is set up on each reed.
Reed plates
At J.A. Harmonicas we have developed a unique embossing technique that enables us to emboss the reed slots with great precision.
Windsavers (chromatic)
Every windsaver is modified for an optimal and smooth action.
Reeds
All reeds are re-profiled for a smoother and more dynamic playability, tuning marks are also removed.
Tuning
Chromatic harmonicas are tuned to Equal temperament and Diatonic harmonicas are tuned to my own type of compromised tuning, see chart below.
All my custom diatonic harmonicas are Richter tuned to 442hz with a compromised temperament. However, I can accommodate your preference for an alternate temperament or tuning. Most players are happy with my compromised temperament
